Writing an Argument
"Writing an Argument," involves the use of prior knowledge, explaining evidence, illustrating what you already know, informing, proving a point and taking sides to make an argument. Papers using argumentation is the most common form of writing in college classrooms. In order to develop an argument you must take a position in order to convince your audience. I enjoy writing arguments, because I like to argue. Using more contents and finding more topics helps me get my point across in my argument Knowing that nobody is seen to be wrong helps us get a understanding from not only our point, but others as well. I engage in class discussions and always feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This particular form and style of writing gives us as students an opinion and the chance to express them without being incorrect. The way the argument is supposed to be structured allows us to state a thesis, using background information, establishing our position to the topic.
